Our Values

Following Jesus Together.

The Mission

Our mission is to help people become fully committed followers of Jesus Christ.

The Vision

Our vision is to see our city and our world transformed by followers of Jesus Christ who exhibit grace, show love, and go when God calls.

We are people of grace.

We have a purpose.
We're not here by chance. We're here by God's choice as part of his great redemptive story.
“We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now...” 2 Corinthians 5:20
We have a family.
Bound by our love for Jesus, we choose one another.
“The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.” 1 John 4:21
We have the Holy Spirit.
We aren't in this alone...we rely on the Holy Spirit as our helper and friend.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. John 14: 15-17 (NASB)

We are people of love.

We show up.
Love is there when times are good, but it's also there when times are tough. We commit ourselves to learning the stories of others so we can be there for the good times and the bad.
Don’t do anything for selfish purposes, but with humility think of others as better than yourselves. Instead of each person watching out for their own good, watch out for what is better for others. Adopt the attitude that was in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:3-5
We share the good news of Jesus.
Jesus is good for everybody.
He said to them, “Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people. Mark 16:15
We live lives of joy.
Our hope in Jesus is greater than our struggles on earth.
“These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11

We are people who go.

We respond with gratitude.
We're so grateful for what Jesus has done that we can't help but thank him.
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalm 100:4
We respond with obedience.
God's overwhelming goodness compels us to obey because we trust God knows what's best.
“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love; just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.” John 15:10 (ESV)
We live with integrity.
We are broken but we strive to be whole. When we mess up we own it.
“Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.” Philippians 1:27

We are people who love Jesus.

We are growing in the Word of God.
The Word of God is true and life-giving and we are not apathetic in our reliance on it.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
We are authentic.
We love from the center of who we are in Christ. We don't fake it.
Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; Romans 12:9
We are growing in our ability to love.
God's love working through us is better than anything we can ever offer on our own.
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
